Privacy Policy

Short version: Petal does not collect, store, or share any personal information. There are no accounts, no analytics, no tracking, and no ads.

The camera

When you scan a price tag, the camera image is processed entirely on your device to read the numbers. Images are never saved and never leave your phone — Petal does not store photos, and nothing is uploaded anywhere.

Exchange rates & the network

Petal works fully offline using built-in and previously cached exchange rates. When you are online, it may fetch the latest rates from a public exchange-rate service. These requests carry no personal information — they simply ask for current rates. Petal does not send your location, your prices, or anything about you.

What we store on your device

Your settings — such as which currencies you've chosen and their order — are saved only on your own device so the app remembers your preferences. This data stays on your phone and is removed if you delete the app.

No tracking

Petal contains no analytics SDKs, no advertising, and no third-party trackers. We do not build a profile of you, and we have no servers that hold your data.

Children

Petal is suitable for all ages and does not collect data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
